A very long name for a very long chilli which is reputedly the longest in cultivation. The name derives from a mountain range in the Chinese province of Guizou where the chillies originate. The pungency is estimated to be in the 2k - 5k SHU range.
The plants are tall and untidy, and do not really justify the space they occupy.
Tradionally dried, smoked, and ground to give a mild chilli powder. Can also be used fresh, but is rather bland.
